Beganik Builds “Visit Saint Paul” Brand
The Saint Paul Convention & Visitors Authority held its annual meeting on March 23, 2010 in the McKnight Theater at the Ordway Center in downtown Saint Paul. President & CEO Karolyn Kirchgesler used the occasion to announce that the organization is officially changing their name to “Visit Saint Paul.” She also unveiled the new logo that Beganik designed for the rebrand.
Beganik has been collaborating with the Convention & Visitors Authority on this project since January 2010, the result of which is a stronger brand. “Visit Saint Paul” is much more marketable and accessible while the new logo is more readable and scalable. Even the new color scheme – inspired by the architecture of Saint Paul – is stronger and reflects the city’s unique character.
The new brand is a good representation of the city and positioned to improve the image of Saint Paul while drawing more visitors. The next phase will be a redesign of the Visit Saint Paul website, building brand consistency while adding functionality for a more user-friendly site.
