New President for College of Design Alumni Board
Beganik Strategy + Design Founder and Creative Director Justin Bieganek is currently serving as President for the University of Minnesota’s College of Design Alumni Board for the 2009–10 school term. Justin (BS Design and Studio Arts, 1997) has already been a mentor within the College of Design’s Mentor Program for the last 4 years. Justin recently spoke at the McNamara Center to a crowd of approximately 250 mentors and students to kickoff their annual program.
The objectives of the board are to host events to better aid students’ journey from college to career. Professionals working in the field give the students a taste of what the industry is like. Students and professionals represent a variety of Design curriculums including graphic design, architecture, apparel, retail merchandising, housing, interior design, and landscape architecture.
Justin has expressed a desire to push an agenda in 2009–10 that builds a stronger identity for the board, builds program consistencies, and increases the awareness and transparency of the organization.
